PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The Programme is organized according to the principles of Bologna. In the first year the doctoral students acquire knowledge and skills on:
• the research methodologies of the discipline; • the various lines of research to which the Programme’s faculty members are linked, shared in the contents of research area and elective Curricular Units; • acquire skills to build an individual research project as a starting point for the dissertation. The PhD Programme in Urbanism curricular structure integrates
• Compulsory Curricular Units, with structure common to the three PhD courses, such as Research Methodologies, Thesis Project Seminar and Laboratories I, II and III; • Curricular Units of the Research Area defined annually to cover the major topics of the discipline; • Elective Curricular Units, freely chosen by the student from among those offered by the Programme’s field or others.APPLICATIONS
Can apply for access to the cycle of studies leading to the doctor's degree:
• holders of the master degree or legal equivalent; • holders of a bachelor's degree, holding a relevant academic or scientific curriculum; • holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the legal scientific body.TUITION FEE
The amount of the Doctorate fees is updated annually and the amount and form of payment must be consulted on the FA's website.

• Fellowship of the Foundation for Science and Technology - FCT
